Write a Christmas Card: Orphanage in Ukraine

Hi Guys,

For one of my classes, we are supposed to do "an act of love" for the final project. (For my class: "The Study of Love". For my final project I would love to collect and send encouragement or Christmas cards and notes to the kids and staff at the House of Mercy.

House of Mercy is an orphanage in Uzhgorod Ukraine.

House of Mercy was founded in 2001 with the help of a Norwegian Christian organization called KPK-UKRAINA. At the beginning, their ministry was working with sick and disabled children, but by September 2003 House of Mercy directed their focus to street children and orphans in the Zakarpatye Region of Ukraine. Their ministry grew from feeding the children, to taking the children off the streets (and into their own homes) and providing them with education & care. By the blessing of God and through the Norwegian church’s support, a large building came into their possession and in September 2005 it became home that can take up to 22 homeless children and orphans.

But aside from the Children Centre, The HoM works with other groups and projects, such as: the HoM Family Houses, they support 7 Gypsy Settlements, they assist poor/dysfunctional families in the city, they support the Regional Children's Hospital, and many other things.

If you would like more information, please feel free to email or call me.

If you would like to contribute, you can either write an Encouragement Note, a Christmas card, or even just send me a short message to write on a Collaboration Card. Please give me your card or email your notes by Friday, Dec 2. [If you are planning to send me something, can you please response just so I know who I should be waiting for.)

Thanks guys!

God Bless,
Bonnie
