Days 25-30: End of an era
(not really, just blog challenge)
--
Day 25: What if you were given one million dollars, what would you buy?
One Million Dollars.
...Not that I would be ungrateful, but in this day and age one mill wont get you too far. Also will I have to pay taxes on it? (silly business kid)
But I would pay my student loans off, buy something nice but not crazy expensive and stick the rest in the bank for a rainy day.
--
Day 26: What if you were going to a deserted island and could only take three things with you, what would you take?
1. My Bible
2. A pen and some notebooks (how long am i going for?)
3. A boatload of water
And matches get an honourable mention.
--
Day 27: What if you were marooned on a desert island with one other person how would you survive?
Build a shelter, find food, make a fire, send smoke signals. Get off the island.
--
Day 28: What if you were walking through the forest and you suddenly saw a tiger, what would you do?
As stupid as this sounds, the first thing I think of is the story Jonny told when I was running and just ate it and tore open my palm. Rotating razor blades and tigers in the forest.
If I ran saw it in the forest, I would walk as quietly as a possibly could in the opposite direction the tiger is headed. Hopefully that's the direction I came from but if not the game plan would be lose the tiger, call for help, get out of there.
--
Day 29: What if your friend could not have a child, would you carry her child for her?
I really don't know. I guess it would have to depend who it is. But that would not be fun times to have to go through all 9 months of childbirth and not even have a child that belongs me.
--
Day 30: What kinds of problems would you have if you had to always tell the truth?
I wish I could say I would have no problems cause I always tell the truth, but alas I am human and make mistakes.
I am assuming that although I always have to tell the truth I don't have to say everything I think out loud.
But generally, I don't usually flat out lie to people. I generally lie but sugar coating things or leaving out things..

And now you know 30 random things about me
Day 30! Took a while (and a lot of catch up for today) but we've made it! Miss Julie I really hope you dont for get about day 30 or do it late. This is the only day that matters! =)
Sorry. I've been slacking. But I have a good excuse! I am work! This is the conference my entire job has been leading to thus far! Game time! But yea. I'm gonna get on catching up now! =)

Day 24: fly me to the moon
Day 24 : What if you were given a chance to go to the moon, would you go? Why or why not?
If someone offered me a trip to the moon for free I would definitely take it. I may be the sickest person from the second we take off and probs for days after we land but wow, such an amazing opportunity.
The pictures of the earth from space is amazing. Imagine how it will look in real life! (It's like looking at a picture of beautiful scenery. It's gorgeous but when you see it in real life. It always takes your breath away.)

Day Twenty Three: ring ring.. ring ring
Day 23 : What if you saw a robbery, would you report it?
I think so. But to be honest I remember walking in Vancouver once many many years ago and I was with my family and another family and I thought I saw a robbery so I pointed it out to the other family's dad and perhaps my dad and they said it was nothing...? I dunno? Did I see a robbery?
Well anyways, if I see a robbery hopefully I will call the cops now that I am older and wiser.

Day 22: Lotto
Day 22 : What if you received lottery tickets as a gift at the office party, and you won $30,000.00, would you share the winnings with the person that gave you the gift?
Well it would depend what you mean by share. I would definitely get them something nice. But probs not split it evenly with em.

Day 21: Seeing.
Day 21 : What if you had to choose, would you give up your sight or your hearing?
I always flip back and forth with this answer. But i think (at least this time) I would rather see. I love the sound of laughter, the sounds of sweet melodies and the sound of voices. Yet, seeing shapes, colours and faces bring me true happiness.

Sometimes Criticism is Love in Disguise
Sometimes Criticism is Love in Disguise

In C.S. Lewis's, The Horse and His Boy, two horses and their riders are racing back to Archenland to warn the king of their enemies, who are arriving unaware. Although they are going fast, the horses are not quite running as fast as they could. Suddenly, a lion jumps out of the thicket and begins to pursue the horses, who find that they could actually run faster. Later, we learn the lion was Aslan himself, scaring the horses to run at their true speed as they needed to go faster because of the pursuing army. Lewis gives us an apt lesson that could easily apply to criticism.
Your Response to Criticism
Criticism can cripple us. We know it shouldn’t, but when someone criticizes our effort, we have a difficult time getting back to a peaceful equilibrium. For one, it is much easier to criticize, than actually do the work. Our hours of hard work can be dismissed in just moments. Often criticism is condemning, looking not only at the perceived error, but also attributing the error as something wrong about the person. This is what Jesus means by seeing a speck in your brother’s eye, but having a plank in your own (Matthew 7).
“It might be God using a critic to get you to be sharper or less dependent on the opinion of men and more dependent on him.”
For comfort, we often look for flaws in the other person to deflect the criticism, “They never liked me anyway. They are just cranks. They didn’t criticize me in love, or at the right time, or with the right tone…” and on and on it goes.
God Pursuing You Through a Critic
But what if criticism is our Lord in disguise? This surely doesn’t mean the critique has to be embraced (although that might be exactly what we have to do). It might be God using a critic to get you to be sharper or less dependent on the opinion of men and more dependent on him. We might fancy ourselves as very loving people indeed, patient and forbearing — until we get criticized. Then we justify our lack of love (keeping a record of wrongs), by their lack of love (“don’t they know a Christian is supposed to be loving?”).
What Can You Learn?
When Aslan chased Bree (one of the Narnian horses), Bree found he wasn’t as noble as he supposed. And this was all the better. For Bree learned that his estimation of himself was not who he was and his happiness didn’t depend on his estimation of himself.
Have you ever considered criticism may just be goodness and mercy pursuing you (Psalm 23:6)?

Day 20: not really a choice
Day 20 : What if you had to choose between your best friend and your boyfriend, which would you choose?
Well since I don't have a boyfriend, my answer defaults to best friend.
But I would have chosen my ladies anyways. Love you ladies

Conference
Oh snap. I realized that I will be at conference between July 25 and the 28th.
But fear not loyal followers (or those who just stumbled on here...) I shall try the 'scheduled at..' button on this post and see if it appears. If it works, my posts shall appear when they should. It will be better than if I did it live cause I seem to forget every other day.
This should appear tomorrow at 3pm MST. [I didn't bother switching the time zones on my blog when I moved. I'll be back soon than you know. Whether you want me to be or not]

Day 19: 3 Wishes
Day 19 : What if you were given three wishes what would they be?
1. That I could just get a hug from my dad and hear him say one last time that he loved me.
2. To really make a difference in somebody's life.
3. Learn to have a well balanced life. [Family, friends, school, play.]
My wishes are an array of reality and dreams.
Day 18: J why do we always forget on the same days?
Day 18 : What if you had to choose between love and no money or money and no love for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
Love.
This is a question I don't need clarification or additional time to think about the answer.

Day 17: 25 hour days
Day 17 : What if you had 25-hour days (while everyone else continued to have 24-hour days), what would you do with the extra time?
It would depend on the day.
But I would take my hour and try not to waste it.
I'm the queen of wasting time (esp here since I generally have no pressing issues I need to deal with like exams).
But I once heard this:

Feeling accomplished
Oh man. I feel super accomplished today for someone who didn't leave their house.
-Cleaned my room
-Cleaned my bathroom
-Swept the apartment
-Did work for my course
Woohoo.

Day 15 & 16: And again im playing catch up.
Day 15 : What if you could stop a bad habit that you have, what would you stop?
Bad habits
Oh mans. I have way too many... (one which was pointed out to me by my grade 7/8s at church is that I sometime add unnecessary "s"es to my words. Ie: "Oh mans" from the beginning of this bit)
But one that I would stop if I could would be my ADD tendencies.
That would make focusing way easier.
--
Day 16 : What if you found a suitcase full of $1,000,000, what would you do?
First thing I would do is wonder who was so stupid to put a million dollars in a suitcase at all.
The only reason I can think of where someone puts a lot of cash in one place like this is a ransom payment. (Even drug dealers aren't that stupid). And if I found a ransom payment I would freak out. Cause I just caused something real bad to go down.
The second thing I would do is call the cops.

Day 14: Pout
Day 14 : What would you do if you found the wallet of your next-door neighbor who you hated?
I'd pout, complain a lot and then return it. But between picking it up and returning it, I'd probs snoop. I'm a bit noisy but I wouldn't steal anything.

Day 13: One Phone Call
Day 13 : What if you got arrested for murder, whom would you call with your telephone call from prison? And why?
Mama knows best.
Mama knows best.
Day 12: Time traveller
Day 12 : What if you could travel back in time, where would you go?
I need clarification on all the questions. Why must need this type of structure? Silly Bonnie.
Will I have to stay there forever? Or can I come back?
But I'm not good with normal travelling, I don't think I will do well with time travel.
So this is going to be really randomly and slightly odd. But my god-father told me that in ancient China, my last name 龔 was given to those who where important and close to him. So I would love to know how it would feel to be a daughter of a very important man in ancient China. I'd get to wear those crazy dresses and walk around all day doing nothing but feeling important. But I defs wouldn't stay long.
I don't know how true that "story" is. But my god-father is a well cultured man... i assume he knows what he's talking about.

Day 11: Hear your thoughts.
Day 11 : What if you could hear what someone is thinking for a day, who would you choose?
No one.
There is enough junk in my own head for me to deal with. I don't need your issues too.

PTL
I know it's just the drink code for my passion tea lemonade.
But I pretend the barista is reminding me to
'Praise the Lord'.
Day 10: Food.
Day 10 : What if you could have only one food for the rest of your life (assuming that this strange situation would not affect your health), which food would you choose?
People like to ask this question a lot and I never have a good answer to this question.
Does this mean an ethnicity or just one specific dish?

If we're picking ethnicities, then I will pick Italian. If we're picking dishes that can be made in different ways, then I pick pasta.
If we're picking a single dish then I pick Shanghai noodles. (didn't follow the expected pattern now did i?) =D

Day 9: Finally a good reason for watching crime shows
Day 9 : What if you could commit any crime and get away with it, what would you do?
Due to watching so many crime shows, I have many examples and visual "experiences" under my belt.
But I'm going to go with: I'm not going to commit a crime that requires 'getting away with'.

Day 8: Shootout
Day 8 : What if you could choose how you were going to die, what would you choose your death to be?
So I'm not going to lie, since starting this blog challenge I've been waiting to answer this question.
Aside from my reminiscing about the Stampede yesterday I have decided this for a while now. Not that I constantly think about dying but how awesome would it be do be in a western shoot out or a good ol' western standoff.

Day 7: invisible girl
Day 7 : What if you could be invisible for a day what would you do and why?
I don't want to be invisible. I want people to see me, to love me.
If you couldn't see me, you wouldn't know I was there.

Day 6: Superman
Day 6 : What if you could be another person for a day, who would you be?
Does it have to be a real person?
I know he's a boy, but hey, it's only one day. How bad can it be? ;)

Day 5: No need for questions
Day 5 : What if you could ask God any one question, what would it be?
So I was thinking about this yesterday and then I forgot to blog it for the world to see.
And as many things as I would like to ask God when I see him, I think that when I do I'll have a lot more important things I'd rather do than ask him questions.
Mainly just worship him, but if you're in God's presence nothing worldly would be important enough to bother you.
But this question does remind me of this song:

Telepathy.
Let me start off by saying, I don't know how I really feel about telepathy. Professor X is pretty awesome but Jean kinda scared me.
I had two conversations with two good friends today. They have both been gems in my life, but these conversations got me thinking.
It's not that they don't care, but people are just dense.
Sometimes the only way to talk is to really just cut to the chase.
No one's hurts go away like pixie dust, cause golly i wish mine did.
Tough times come and go and sometimes they are harder than others. As much as i would like to believe that there are people out there looking out for me 24/7 i know that isnt true. At times i feel like a fail when it comes to being Christian but it's amazing to know that God knows that we are all failures and loves us all the same.
I may be the slowest learner ever. but if He's still patient with me, you've got no worries.
I had two conversations with two good friends today. They have both been gems in my life, but these conversations got me thinking.
How much should you expect from your friends? What if they just plain don't understand what you are doing through? Or is it that just don't care?Real life can really suck. And sometimes it just plain hurts. As much as i hate admitting this, people are selfish. People forget to care sometimes. When you find yourself right in the deep of an issue people seem want to hold your hand. But when it comes time to transition into healing it sometimes seems like the caring abruptly stops. It's hard for others to understand when the initial shock has rubbed off you cant just continue on with your day like they are. To have them realize you're still living in the reality of the pain and it's not just another day for you

Day 4: Living Out Loud
Day 4 : What if one song were to describe your life, what song would it be?
Oh man! This one is tough. I can choose so many songs. If you were asking me to pick a song that describes how I'm feeling right now then it would be easier, but after much thought here it is.
Living out Loud-Aaron Lines
Lyrics:
I'm tired of living in this bubble
So today I'm changing everything
Well, my dream's been buried in the rubble
It's time to set it free
No more keeping quiet this life inside of me
I'm gonna start living out loud
My soul's been dying
To scream and shout
And shatter the silence
It's a beautiful sound when each moment counts
Starting right now, I'm gonna start living out loud
Oh, yeah
Well, I'm not breaking any new ground
And I didn't reinvent the wheel
I'm just a man who finally figured out
What he really needs
So I'm turning up the volume of this song inside of me
Gonna start living out loud
My soul's been dying
To scream and shout
And shatter the silence
It's a beautiful sound when each moment counts
Right here, right now
I'm gonna start living out loud
All my demons, I have fought 'em
Inhibitions, I have lost 'em
It wasn't easy, but I taught 'em
To just get out of my way
And now, every breath I'm breathing,
The air is so much sweeter
Now that my heart has finally found a way
To start living out loud
My soul's been dying
To scream and shout
And shatter the silence
It's a beautiful sound, when each moment counts

Day 3: World is listening.
Day 3 : What if the whole world were listening, what would you say?
I would tell everyone that as dismal as this world may seem some days, there is hope. There is a gift that has been offered to each one of us and all we have to do is take it. We don't deserve it and there's nothing we can do to earn it but it has been freely given to us.
This gift is called 'grace'.
1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. -Romans 5:1-2
-----
The Bible talks about the world beginning with the creation of a beautiful garden and two blameless people who walked and talked with God. They were truly innocent – they didn’t even know that they were naked. But it didn’t stay that way. They chose to turn away from God and sin entered the world, and with it guilt, shame, regret. Humankind was no longer blameless. But God still loved the world that he created and so he sent his Son to redeem it.
Jesus came, and died, and rose again to wipe the slate clean. He was scourged, tormented, and finally nailed on the cross for humankind’s sins – this was all part of God’s plan to bring you and I back into relationship with him. God wants to be a part of your life. Is this the life for you?

Day 2: 24 hours left
Day 2 : What if you had only 24 hours to live, what would you do?
Ok, ok so I know that technically it's already July the third but I haven't gone to bed yet so to me it's still the second.
So, only 24 hours left to live eh?
I would go home and spend the majority of my time with my family. Then I would throw a little soiree for my closest friends and family.
